# Preshift: Full Reference > Preshift is the outsourced technology and marketing team for UK multi-site hospitality and retail operators. We find what's costing you money, fix it, and run the stack (POS, payments, networks, loyalty, paid media and reporting) so operators can run the floor. "We run your tech. You run the floor." £1M+ saved for operators. ## Who we are Preshift was founded by operators, not consultants: 50+ years between us running sites across the UK. We serve UK multi-site hospitality and retail groups (restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés and shops) with a focus on groups of roughly 3+ sites, up to 15+ site estates and beyond. We become the senior tech and marketing capability head office doesn't have in-house, without the cost or the hire process. 250+ sites managed. Engagements are monthly rolling, plain-English, and free of lock-ins (30 days' notice on retainers; project fees run to completion). We are vendor-agnostic: we take no referral commissions, kickbacks or platform percentages. Our fee is what's on the page. All prices are ex VAT. Area served: United Kingdom. ## The System Review: the way in A paid, fixed-fee System Review of every platform, contract and cost line across your tech and marketing stack. £1,500 + VAT, 14-day turnaround, no ongoing commitment. How it works: a free 30-minute call first (no sales deck, no commitment), then you sign off the fee, we pull every platform, contract and cost line into one place, and you get a written report with savings targets, vendor benchmarks and a prioritised roadmap in plain English. The report is yours to keep and act on, with us or with your own team. If you proceed to any paid engagement (a retainer or a fixed-scope project) within 60 days, the £1,500 fee is credited against your first invoice. Most managed engagements start with the System Review. It is optional, but we don't propose solutions to problems we haven't measured. ## Managed Service: the tech and marketing department, on retainer We run your technology and marketing: vendors, contracts, 24/7 break-fix support (SLA), new-site rollout, CRM, loyalty, paid media, SEO and reporting. Tech, marketing, or both, scoped to your group. GMs phone us, not you. Coverage spans vendors and contracts (POS, payments, hardware, broadband, security, renewal calendars, tenders, active renegotiation), support and uptime (24/7 break-fix with SLA), build and rollout (new-site openings, POS migrations, integration builds), and marketing (CRM/CDP, loyalty, email automation, paid media, SEO, cover-traceable reporting). Daily operational reporting (Reports Core) is included. Onboarding takes 2–4 weeks. Three engagement tiers, all bespoke and priced by the £1,500 System Review: Starter (a senior backstop for groups that already have someone in seat), Growth (the full managed department, your fractional CTO, CMO, or both), and Enterprise (15+ site, multi-brand or PE-backed groups: dedicated senior account lead, group-wide governance, board and investor reporting, M&A integration). Pricing: bespoke, group-wide, on a monthly rolling retainer (30 days' notice), or as a fixed-scope project (POS migration, new-site opening, vendor tender, integration build, loyalty rollout). Every group is different, so the System Review sets the final scope and price before any commitment. Compare: a full internal tech + marketing hire runs £125–175k/year for one person, £220k+ for a small team. The managed service is a senior team from day one at a fraction of that. ## Reports: your numbers, every morning The daily operational briefing for multi-site operators. Sales, covers, delivery, weather and footfall from every platform (labour, COGS and review sentiment on Core), normalised for weather, footfall, transport and what's on locally. AI reads it each morning and ranks the three calls to make today, then chases them with you through the week. Connects to any POS (email parsing, API or direct DB). Delivered 07:00 by email or WhatsApp, with weekly and monthly digests. Tiers (priced per site, per month, ex VAT): - **Lite, from £25/site/month.** Multi-location sales (covers, average spend, day-on-day, week-on-week), weather/footfall/transport enrichment, AI ranking of the three decisions to make today. - **Core, from £39/site/month.** Everything in Lite, plus flash P&L (labour and COGS per site), online review sentiment (Google, TripAdvisor, Resy, OpenTable), manager logbook by email, and anomaly detection. The product most multi-site operators end up on. - **Advanced, bespoke.** Bespoke AI prompts, custom integrations (HRIS, ERP, BI, bespoke POS), branded board/investor dashboards. Fixed-fee project or monthly add-on to Core. Reports Core is included in the Managed Service. Standalone Reports starts on a 30-day free trial (card on file, cancel any time). Reports customers often start standalone and step up to the managed service later; groups with more than one POS, contracts up for renewal, or no internal tech person usually start with the System Review. ## Receipts - Birdhouse Group: System Review surfaced an auto-renewal, then an 18-month tech + marketing engagement saved £47K in year one across card fees (down 18%), labour optimisation and contract renegotiation; 30,000 customers found; 109,119 loyalty opt-ins. - Wenzel's The Bakers (108 sites): strategic tech advisory + 7-month marketing retainer.
